Wildfolk is the home of two fantastic ceilidh bands — The Wildfolk Ceilidh Band and the aptly named Compact Ceilidh Band — and the Rhubarb Tarts Molly dancers. We also provide musicians for weddings and other civil ceremonies and the reception or celebration afterwards. In fact so many people have requested information about the sort of music that we can offer for such special occasions that we now have a page dedicated to this — Wildfolk and Weddings.

Most of the talented traditional musicians who make up the two ceilidh bands are multi-instrumentalists, so we can offer different combinations of musicians and instruments to suit the occasion, your musical preferences (e.g. Scottish, Irish, English...) and your budget.

You can listen to music from the Wildfolk Ceilidh Band by following the ‘Download Music’ link to the right, and we hope that downloads of the Compact Ceilidh Band will be available soon. By following links on the Rhubarb Tarts’ pages you can access videos of the dancers in action.

All the musicians under the Wildfolk ‘umbrella’ enjoy playing together on a regular basis because they love the music and playing with each other. (We never employ musicians through agencies!) As well as being experienced ceilidh band performers, most of them are accomplished solo musicians in their own right. Thus we can also offer a variety of combinations (solo musicians, duos and groups) to suit your needs. Please contact us if you’d like details.

Wildfolk is run by people who are passionate about traditional folk music and dance, and they are all actively involved in music and dance in Yorkshire. They aim to provide you with personal and efficient customer service.
