Mark’s repertoire is culled from his many years’ involvement in sessions, country dance and ceilidh bands, and groups. The tunes themselves are largely from the British Isles and have been tastefully and skilfully arranged; jaunty Irish reels sit alongside Hebridean airs and English country music.
His music comes from many sources: tunes heard in clubs and sessions, recorded performances, self-penned material and ancient manuscripts; songs from former times to the present day.

Mark is available countrywide for folk festivals, workshops, concerts, folk clubs and private functions. He is also available as a duo with Tony Taffinder — fabulous guitars and harmonies.
Also a talented classical guitarist, Mark is available to play at weddings and other events.
Mark’s début CD, Waters Rising, is now available! Essentially solo guitar, Mark was joined on some tracks by Cameron Edgar and percussionist Russell Jalland and on others by Tony Taffinder.
Copies of this brilliant CD are available at gigs and from Wildfolk, PO Box 528, Wakefield WF1 9DH. Cheques (£11 including P&P), should be made payable to ‘Wildfolk’.
