2009
At the beginning of June the website was extensively re-structured to reflect more accurately the changing nature of what we do.
Wildfolk isn’t a general music agency. We’re ‘focus’ and booking agent for a group of talented and experienced musicians based in Yorkshire who know and trust each other and regularly play together. Collectively (though not all at the same time!) many of them make up the Wildfolk Ceilidh Band; Mark Mawby and Gina le Faux also perform as the Compact Ceilidh Band.
As well as being experienced ceilidh band performers, most of the musicians are accomplished solo musicians in their own right. Thus we can also offer a variety of combinations (solo musicians, duos and groups) to suit your needs. Some of the musicians often play during wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Wildfolk is also home to the Rhubarb Tarts Molly Dancers, based around Wakefield.
